We’re building GoTourSee’s local team as we grow.
We’re looking for photographers, both hobbyist and profesttionals who love finding the real city as much as we do.
We publish editorial content about cities, neighborhoods, local businesses, landmarks, food, shops, streets, waterfronts, quiet corners, and the details most visitors walk right past. If you’re the type who stops mid walk because the light hit something just right, we want to see what you’d shoot.
Think less “tourism brochure” and more “this caught my eye.” An old sign, a great storefront, a plate worth remembering, a tucked away garden, a neighborhood corner, or a small detail that feels unmistakably local. We’re not chasing landmarks only. Sometimes the best shot is the thing everyone else walked right past.
The kind of eye we’re looking for:
Natural light, natural color, real moments
A mix of wide shots and close up details
A few different angles, not just straight on
Candid over staged, every time
Basically, follow your eye. If you can picture a dozen places in your city you’d want to shoot, you’re exactly who we’re looking for.
How it works: Paid is per assignment depending on scope. Most sessions run 2 to 4 hours. We give you a location(s) and a vibe, you bring the eye.
Send a few samples our way, a handful of medium res shots by email is all we need to start. If it’s a fit, we’ll send you a Dropbox link for full size files once you’ve got your first assignment.
We’re looking for writers who can make a city feel real on the page.
Our content is not generic travel copy. Our editorial content is from someone walking the streets, noticing the details, asking better questions, and caring enough to tell the story clearly.
Think less “top attractions list” and more “this is what it feels like to be here.” A great paragraph might mention a quiet side street, the smell from a local bakery, the way a shop owner talks about their work, or why a certain stop makes sense at that part of the day. Specific details matter.
The kind of writing we’re looking for:
Clear, human, useful writing
Local details that feel real
Short paragraphs and easy flow
Warm tone without sounding fake
Stories that help visitors decide what to do next
Basically, write like you’re helping a real person enjoy the city better. If you can take research, local notes, and a simple assignment and turn it into something useful and natural, we want to see your work.
How it works: Paid per assignment, based on scope. Some pieces may be short local blurbs, while others may be longer city guide or campaign sections.
Send a few writing samples our way. Local writing, travel writing, business features, short essays, blog posts, or strong storytelling samples are all helpful. If it feels like a fit, we’ll start with a small assignment.
Help us connect with site users and visitors.
We’re looking for local guides who know how to make a visitor feel welcome, pointed in the right direction, and excited about what they can do next. This is not about reading from a script. It’s about knowing the city well enough to help someone find the right stop, the right area, or the right kind of experience.
Think less “tour desk” and more “helpful local who knows where to send people.” A visitor may ask where to eat after a tour, what to do if it rains, where to take kids, what’s walkable nearby, or how to fill a few open hours before dinner.
The kind of guide we’re looking for:
Clear, friendly communication
Strong local knowledge
Good judgment with visitor questions
Comfortable texting or chatting with guests
Helpful without overcomplicating things
Basically, we need people who can help visitors find what they are looking for while they’re researching or already in the city. If you know your city well, care about local businesses, and enjoy pointing people toward good experiences, this could be a fit.
How it works: Local guide help may include answering visitor questions, giving simple recommendations, supporting campaign pages, and helping connect people with the right kind of local stop.
Send us a short note about your experience, the neighborhoods you know best, and why you’d be a good fit helping visitors explore the city.
Tell us a bit about yourself and we’ll be in touch if there’s a fit.
We value your privacy. We do not sell or share your information.
